Abstract: 

Purpose: This research aims at evaluating thesaurus SOFTWARES in Iran. Methodology: To evaluate eight thesaurus management SOFTWARES (TMS), a checklist covering three categories of criteria (general, functional and managerial) was designed. Then, 5 Iranian TMS including Islamic Science Thesaurus, ParsAzarakhsh, Thesaurus Builder, Qamoos, and Nosa were compared using the checklist. Findings: In terms of enjoyment and conformity, the most observed criteria were functional, managerial, and general criteria, respectively. ParsAzarakhsh TMS gained the highest score and Islamic Science Thesaurus and Thesaurus Builder, Qamoos and Nosa were the next ones. Conclusions: Although, in each of criteria, there was a difference between SOFTWARES, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test indicated that the difference was not statistically significant.

Abstract: 

این مقاله به معرفی سیستم متعادل کننده و شبیه سازی آن می پردازد. اساس سیستم متعادل کننده، مزایا و معایب، انواع سیستم های متعادل کننده از نظر سازوکار تشریح شده است، سپس نرم افزار شبیه ساز سیستم متعادل کننده ارائه شده است و با استفاده از آن به مقایسه دو سیستم فعال و غیرفعال پرداخته و در ادامه با استفاده از همین نرم افزار شبیه ساز یک شبیه سازی کلی و جامع تر سیر و حرکت برای یک قطار متعادل کننده توصیف شده است. در نهایت با توجه به نتایج این شبیه سازی کلی، یک فرمول برای محاسبه زاویه تیلت در شرایط بهره برداری مختلف ارائه شده و به بررسی هر چه بیشتر و نتیجه گیری در مورد قطارهای متعادل کننده پرداخته شده است.

Abstract: 

Background and Objective: Today, many analysis of hydrological studies are applicable using ArcGIS, as a valuable tool for engineering analyzes. Determination of the geometry of the watershed and stream network extraction and analysis of physiographic parameters for morphometric analysis, is the most important step for hydrological applications. Method: Using DEM with 10×10 meter pixel size of Sarbaz watershed, was extracted physiographic parameters such as environment, area, branching ratio and drainage density using software ARCSWAT, HEC-GEO HMS, WMS and ARC HYDRO and was compared with watershed border area. Findings: The results of SPSS showed that they don’ t have statistically significant differences in the level of 95% between operations of software. So, the results of Duncan test represented that all SOFTWARES are placed in a group. Output parameters of the software in numerical terms was very close. Depending on the expert opinion and ease of use of any of the software can be used to derive physical parameters of watershed. Although the border area of extracted with ARCSWAT, HEC-GEO HMS and ARC HYDRO was closer than WMS with the truth visually. Discussion and Conclusion: Because of pre-processing process required the preparation of DEM in WMS software and the difficulty with this software compared to other software, WMS software less frequently used in hydrological studies. But in hydrological studies such as flood control, sediment and erosion due to consideration of more ranks of stream the WMS software could be more appropriate.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Musculoskeletal problems are the common complaints of patients refer to internal medicine clinics and the pain is the most important of them. There are different physiotherapy methods for reduction of pain and action potential SIMULATION therapy (APS therapy) is one of newest methods. The aim of this study was to determine reduction of pain with APS therapy. Materials & Methods: In 47 patients with different musculoskeletal pain APS therapy performed in 6 days each for 16 minutes and with current of 0.7-1.2 mA. Pain (VAS), Global functional status (ACR) and relief of pain (VAS) before and after study compared.Results: APS therapy reduced pain (p<0.001) and increased Global functional status (p<0.001) and increased relief of pain (p<0.005) but there was not any correlation between this reduction of pain with APS therapy and educational status and past history of physiotherapy and duration of illness in these patients.Conclusion: APS therapy is a useful physiotherapy modality for reduction of pain in musculoskeletal problems.

Abstract: 

In recent years, the computer graghics have improved highly. In this paper,  we present a special kind  of  the computer  graghics named  vectorial  graphics and point out  to  their  mathematical backgrounds  by using  the NURBS curves  and surfaces which are often unknown. Then, we propose the use of the presented mathematical formulas in the vectorial computer ghraghics.

Abstract: 

Aim: The Aim of the study is a comparative analysis of the services and capabilities of commercial software (Simorgh) and open-source software Greenstone. Methods: This study is based on the Documentary research and Evaluation survey, with a practical purpose. Methods of collecting data were using library resources and planning check list, including 5 criteria and 103 sub-criteria. These materials were used for evaluation of both software. APH method was used to rate those criteria and sub-criteria. The research community was Simorgh and Greenstone. Results: The research findings showed that the Greenstone software has a better status than Simorgh in terms of technical characteristics, input and output standards, metadata, and protocol support. But in the sub-standard, the Simorgh status display is better than Greenstone. Conclusion: It can be concluded that digital library software Grynastvn more than double the main criteria for Phoenix Digital Library software is an appropriate application And the culmination of this difference in technical standards and the standards of the input and output.

Abstract: 

Purpose: The purpose of this study is the study of open source SOFTWARES used for creating a digital library. Method: The present research has carried out a conceptual analysis of open source SOFTWARES in digital library. Findings: Explosion of information and the continuous necessity for its effective dissemination to the appropriate users at the right time have created a dilemma for the libraries. It’, s become enormously complicated to competently handle and manage the ever-growing volume of digital information and accommodate to the knowledge needs of the users. To solve these problems, libraries are converting their useful resources into digital form and trying to place it on the websites for information sharing. Digital Libraries help the users to access an organized and coherent repository of knowledge and information regardless of their physical location and time and various remote location. Conclusion: The learners can be networked through computers, laptop, mobile and other devices to make a virtual library. Digital Library Software is an important requirement for the creation of a digital library. Various open source digital library SOFTWARES are available today to serve this purpose. An attempt has been made in this article to explain various kinds of Open Source Digital Library SOFTWARES.

Abstract: 

Background: E-learning is one of the new ways to learn nowadays which for efficient e-learning in their formulation of electronic content that is usually presented through instructional SOFTWARES we should care. Not using educational design in designing SOFTWARES content is considered one of the main challenges in e-learning and also failures of this educational system. This study aims to investigate the Missing loop of educational design in educational SOFTWARES in e-learning in educational environments for medical education. Methods: Qualitative content analysis method of deductive type is used in this study. The Society of the study is chosen from MA students of e-learning courses in medical education faculty of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences for which the purposeful sampling is used and 60 students are selected. The instrument for the study was Semi-structured interview through which the interviews were held with the individuals about the instructional software used in teaching in a purposeful way. The time for each interview ranged from 20 minutes up to 1 hour and all the interviews were lasted for a week. The interviews were held at the level of theoretical saturation until reaching a response. The questions of the interviews for the students were designed based on the standards of electronic learning equipment which included five levels of content, tracking, educational design, and educational and technical media. Results: The results show that the software used in teaching for the students in medical education faculty of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences has the smallest correspondence with the criteria used from the aspect of electronic learning equipment standards and there are lots of problems especially in some aspects of content, tracking and educational design. The existence of such varied problems in medical educational SOFTWARES is arising from problems in technological approach and educational approach such as educational design. This proves the necessity of attention to the principles of instructional design in both preparation and production of such SOFTWARES. Conclusion: This survey suggests that paying attention to the principles of design in the preparation and development of educational software can, as an approach, respond to some of the educational needs and improve the quality and effectiveness of educational training. Developing the educational software based on educational design patterns is one of the basic challenges of e-learning and also it’ s the key to success for this educational system. It’ s necessary that executing agencies and organizations and universities of e-learning have special attention to educational design and implementation of scientific approaches to put it into practice.

Abstract: 

The current study is devoted to investigate SOFTWARES for managing and providing Persian thesaurus. Therefore, using survey-descriptive method,we have analyzed five thesaurus management SOFTWARES, including the SOFTWARES "Islamic Sciences Thesaurus", "Thesaurus Builder", "Pars Azarakhsh", "Ghamoos" and "published version of Ebrahimpoor Thesaurus", along with four SOFTWARES for providing thesaurus, including all the above mentioned SOFTWARES except "Azarakhsh", regarding the general and functional criteria existing in the survey list. The results obtained from this study indicate that with regard to observing functional criteria, the SOFTWARES "Thesaurus Builder" and "Pars Azarakhsh" gained the highest rank among thesaurus management SOFTWARES while the SOFTWARES "Islamic Sciences Thesaurus" and "Thesaurus Builder" ranked the highest among the SOFTWARES for providing thesaurus. On the other hand, the highest scores for observing general criteria were assigned to the SOFTWARES "Thesaurus Builder" and "Islamic Sciences Thesaurus". In general, "Thesaurus Builder" software possesses the most facilities among the above mentioned SOFTWARES.
